He came to visit me first thing in the morning and explained everything clearly as was really friendly. When I got in the pre op room both him and the nurse had a bit of banter with me which helped to calm me down at a nervous time they looked like they worked well together.

I have recently had a procedure at Goring Hall Hospital where Dr Uncles was the Anaesthetist. The care I received was excellent and professional. Dr Uncles made me feel at ease and talked me through the procedure.

I was pretty anxious having had an anaphylactic reaction to an anti-biotic at the previous attempt to operate. Dr Uncles was very reassuring and and I felt completely confident in his hands. He had an easy yet professional manner, expelling things clearly, which hit exactly the right tone. His administration of the drugs whilst I was awake was faultless and painless.
There is nothing I can add as a suggestion for improvement.

I was admitted to the BMI Goring Hall for a routine operation and David was my Anaesthetist and I have to say I felt totally at ease and had no worries at all under his care.
He explained fully what the general anaesthetic would involve and how long I would be under so there was no concerns after fully checking my medical history, when I saw him in the pre op area the mood was jovial and friendly and I had no worries and things went smoothly.
After I had come round after the op he took the time out of his busy schedule to come and say hi and check that I was ok and no adverse effects from the GA.
I can happily say that he is a very nice person and a great anaesthetist and would him to be my consultant anaesthetist again if I need another operation.

I am a specialist Anaesthetist with interests in Obstetric, Ambulatory and Inpatient anaesthesia. I employ a variety of anaesthetic techniques including general or regional anaesthesia, although I often use them in combination to optimise and enhance patients' peri and post-operative experience.
I am dedicated to putting the patient first through the provision of safe and reassuring care delivered in conjunction with my colleagues and associates.
I was present at the inauguration of the Helsinki Declaration in June 2010. This enshrines the values essential to the promotion of the highest professional and safety standards expected of anaesthetists. It is my hope to match or even exceed the expectations of patients who place their trust in me.
